Maybe it looks more masculine if you are just squeezing the juice out of the limes by hand. Much more professional (and more hygienic) is the use of the W&P Muddler. The tappet made of hardwood is standard on every bartender - and is a real squeezing expert.
A little tip from the cocktail-pro: If you squash limes or mint with the W&P Muddler, you shouldn't do it for several minutes. Three to four strong shocks are enough - otherwise you squeeze out not only the delicious juice, but also the nasty bitter substances.
